John Augustus Goff passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 in Sugar Land. John was born October 18, 1929 to the late Frank and Pearl King Goff in Fort Smith, Arkansas. John grew up in Arkansas until enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in the United States Army from May 1947 until his retirement in October 1972, including two tours in Viet Nam. After retiring from the Army, John had another long career at the United Salt Corporation in Texas until his second retirement in the early 1990’s. John is survived by his wife of 8 years, Norma Colligan Goff. He is also survived by his younger brother, William M. Goff of Anderson, Missouri.

A memorial service for John will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 17^th, at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home.
